The card reader can be charged using the USB cable that is included in the packaging of the card reader.

SwipeSimple Register is designed to be simple and direct, enabling you to self-configure without the aid of product specialist.

It takes approximately 5-10 minutes to get the mPOP cash register and receipt printer up and running.

Eclipse A200:

  • Red light flashing- low battery
  • Red light on- reader is charging
  • Green light on- fully charged

Swift B250:

  • Red LED flashing – low battery / Critical low battery
  • Blue LED on – bluetooth is connected
  • Blue LED flashing – standby mode / waiting for connect bluetooth or bluetooth is disconnected

Swift B200:

  • Red LED flashing – low battery / critical low battery
  • Green LED on – bluetooth is connected
  • Green LED flashing – standby mode / waiting for connect bluetooth or bluetooth is disconnected

This most likely indicates that the printer cover is open, the printer is out of paper, the paper roll is not loaded correctly, or that the cash drawer has failed to open.

  1. Open the printer cover and remove the paper roll, or reload a new roll if your printer’s paper is running low.
  2. Reload the paper roll and close the cover. Please ensure that the paper roll is loaded in the correct direction, see here for more instructions.
  3. Remove anything that may prevent the cash drawer from opening. In the SwipeSimple app > Settings > Device Management, select your mPOP and Test Cash Drawer.

This most likely indicates that the printer cover is open, the printer is out of paper, or the paper roll is not loaded correctly. Please check the SM-L200’s LCD screen for an error message.

  1. Open the printer cover and remove the paper roll, or reload a new roll if your printer’s paper is running low.
  2. Reload the paper roll and close the cover. Please ensure that the paper roll is loaded in the correct direction. See here for more instructions on loading the receipt paper roll.

Yes. As long as you are using one of our readers that has an EMV chip card slot and a supported merchant account, you can accept EMV chip cards.

Yes. As long as you are using the Swift B250 card reader, you can accept NFC Contactless payments and mobile wallets including Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay.

The Eclipse A200 card reader requires iOS version 9.0 or Android OS version 4.4.0 and above.

The Swift B200 and B250 card readers require iOS version 9.0 or Android OS version 5.0 and above, and Bluetooth 4.0 and above.

To test your reader using the Diagnostic Tool, follow the steps below:

1. Confirm your reader is fully charged using the USB cord packaged with the reader

2. Ensure the volume on your mobile device is at the maximum level and Bluetooth is off

3. Go to the Settings page of the SwipeSimple app and select Diagnostic Tool

4. Connect your reader and refer to the Reader Status portion of the screen for a compatibility reading

No. For security reasons, the SwipeSimple app can only be used with SwipeSimple card readers.

SwipeSimple Register is compatible with any supported card reader (Eclipse A200, Swift B200, Swift B250), although the Swift B250 card reader and charging stand are highly recommended for countertop merchants.

1. Please contact your merchant service provider to confirm compatibility or test your device real-time using the Diagnostic Tool in the settings of the SwipeSimple app

– To test a device, connect the reader and open the Diagnostic Tool in the settings of the SwipeSimple app. You will find the compatibility status in the Reader Status area of the page

2. Confirm the reader has been fully charged using the USB cord provided with the reader

3. Ensure the volume on the device is at the maximum level. If a warning message comes up when the device is plugged in it must be accepted. (Typically happens on Samsung devices.)

4. Turn Bluetooth off when using an audio-jack card reader

1. Ensure that the device is running iOS 8 or higher

2. Confirm the reader has been fully charged using the USB cord provided with the reader

3. Please make sure the volume on the device is at the maximum level

4. Make sure the microphone is enabled in the settings of the device

– Settings > Privacy > Microphone > turn on for SwipeSimple
– Please note that uninstalling & reinstalling the app may toggle this microphone off

  2. Ensure that you’re using the most updated version of the application. The Swift B200 and B250 are compatible with SwipeSimple version 4.0 and above.

  7. Please ensure that the card reader is fully charged, this may be done using the micro USB cord that is provided.
  8. If you are unable to connect your card reader, please press and hold the power button to restart your card reader.
  9. For further assistance, please go to Settings > Support on the SwipeSimple app and click on Send Diagnostics. Diagnostics should be sent when directed by a support representative.

  1. Ensure that both the mPOP and your device are within a 10-15 ft range.
  2. Ensure that your mPOP is not paired with another device.

a. To initialize Bluetooth setting back to factory mode, press and hold the Bluetooth reset button 1 located to the left of USB ports, on the underside of the mPOP, until the Error LED blinks red.

Please ensure that the mPOP remains switched on during the process 2.

Bluetooth setting is successfully restored back to factory mode when the Error LED stops blinking.

b. In the Settings app of your device, go to Bluetooth and look for your mPOP’s serial number (format: STAR mPOP-CXXXX, with the last 4 digits representing your mPOP’s serial number) as a listed device.

c. If you are using an iOS device, tap the blue “i” and select “Forget This Device”.
If you are using an Android device, tap on the gear icon and select “Unpair”.

d. Follow the steps here to repair the mPOP with your device.

  1. Ensure that your device’s OS and the SwipeSimple app are up to date. SwipeSimple Register requires iOS version 9.0 and above, Android version 5.0, and SwipeSimple 4.6.0 and above.
  2. Ensure that you have a SwipeSimple Register account. In the SwipeSimple app > Settings > Edition, it should display Register. If you have a different edition, please contact your Merchant Service Provider.
  3. Ensure that both the mPOP and your device are within a 10-15 ft range.
  4. Power down your mPOP, and power it back up again.
  5. Toggle your device’s Bluetooth setting off and then on again. Ensure that the mPOP is paired in your device’s Settings app.
  6. Restart the SwipeSimple app.
  7. In the SwipeSimple app > Settings > Device Management, pull and release the Device Management Panel to refresh it.

2. Ensure that your SM-L200 is not paired with another device.

3. In the Settings app of your device, go to Bluetooth and look for your SM-L200 device in the Paired Devices section.

4. Tap on the gear icon and select Unpair.

5. Follow the steps here to repair the SM-L200 with your device.

  6. Restart the SwipeSimple app.
  7. In the SwipeSimple app > Settings > Device Management, pull and release the Device Management Panel to refresh it.
