Customizing Mobile App Settings in SwipeSimple
The Settings screen in the SwipeSimple mobile app is where you control how payment acceptance works on your device. Whether you're configuring checkout behavior, enabling Tap to Pay on iPhone, or managing your card reader, everything is in one place so you can get set up quickly and keep things running consistently.
Adjust Checkout Preferences
From Settings, you can enable or disable tipping, signature prompts, and tax collection. Setting these up to match your business means every transaction runs the same way — no matter who on your team is running the checkout.
Enable Tap to Pay on iPhone
If you want to accept contactless payments without a card reader, Tap to Pay on iPhone lets you use your iPhone itself as the payment device. Turn it on from the Settings screen and you're ready to accept payments with just your phone.
Switch Between Merchant Accounts
If you operate multiple locations or have more than one merchant account, you can switch between them directly from Settings. This keeps you from accidentally processing transactions under the wrong account — useful for businesses that move between locations or manage separate accounts for different services.
Manage Card Readers
Settings gives you quick access to pair, reconnect, or switch to a different card reader. If a reader isn't responding or you're switching devices, this is where you go to get back up and running without disrupting checkout.
